The 4 hour Understanding Behaviours in Dementia course is a helpful, informative course for any one who wishes to work within the care sector, caring for the elderly. It is aimed at learners looking to further their skills and knowledge and to gain a qualification in Dementia awareness.

The course is 4 hours long and can be delivered at times to suit you, we appreciate that working within the care industry is not a 9-5 job!

Everyone has a perception of what Dementia is but not many people really understand it. Dementia is an ‘umbrella’ term that covers hundreds of different conditions that affect the brain. It is a progressive, degenerative disease and effects each person differently. This 4 hour course will look at different types of dementia, and how they may effect people. It will look at how we can recognise what causes ‘challenging’ behaviour (triggers) and manage them effectively.

The course follows all of the latest regulatory updates in a manner that will keep the learners engaged.  We use quizzes, videos, team games and debate. Delegates will leave the course feeling inspired and in the ‘know’.  We believe people learn better with a smile on their face - so our courses will NOT be boring, lecture style or tedious!

Our prices are the lowest you’ll find.  The simple reason is that we want to make training affordable to those that want to learn, rather than just tick a box!

Each delegate will receive a certificate awarded through The Highfield Awarding Body for Compliance, valid for 3 years.  We will also send you a copy of the certificate to save you time copying the certificates from your files.

Why not ask us what other things we can do for you to make training easier to manage - at no extra cost!

Our courses are informative, fast paced and fun.  The course covers the following subjects:
